PCCU offers the
subsidized, the unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loans as well as the
Federal PLUS loans for parents/stepparents to help with the high
cost of a college education.
The subsidized Stafford Loan is a need-based loan. To be
eligible, the financial need must be certified by the educational
institution and the student must be enrolled at least half time
and maintain satisfactory progress determined by the educational
institution. The total dollar amount a student is eligible for is
determined by the school.
Financial aid from the unsubsidized Stafford loan is not based
on need. The amount of the loan is determined by the school. It
takes into account the total cost of the program for the year, the
resources available from the student or family, and the total of
any other financial aid expected. We also have available the
Federal PLUS loan program for parents/stepparents who don't
qualify for financial aid. There is no annual or aggregate limit.
And you may borrow an amount equal to the cost of education minus
any financial aid received by the student. It's a parent's dream
to see a child graduate from college. And rightly so. So if you
need a loan to help cover college expenses, stop by or call us for
a Federal PLUS loan application.
