Parker Community Credit Union will continue efforts to perpetuate and strengthen the credit union movement by providing financial and in-kind resources throughout the credit union community, and by actively advocating the credit union difference at all levels of government and in other appropriate public forums.

Board of Directors Involvement - Our board of directors have set a high standard for our credit union by their outstanding dedication to credit union service, community involvement, political advocacy, and education.

Since 1995, our credit union has received the "Volunteer of the Year" award six  times. There are over 350 credit unions in the State of Wisconsin that compete for this award. The nominees are judged by a panel of credit union professionals from other states.  Don Draheim received this coveted award in 2005, Chairman of the Board, Jerry Bilek, received this honor in 2000, Helen Johns and Gerry Fisher jointly received this honor in 1999, Director Bob Kuranz was awarded this honor in 1997, and Howard Medrow in 1995.

Small Credit Union Partnership - In order to help a small credit union save money on the substantial service fees that they were paying to local banks, we offered to provide these same services at no cost. We also provide rate surveys on savings and deposits and surveys on competitive loan rates to small credit unions to help them stay competitive.

Mentoring - PCCU's senior management staff is part of the Credit Union League's mentoring program to help smaller credit union with operations, loans and collections problems. As member of the Wisconsin Credit Union League Education & Training Committee, one of our vice-presidents helps put together training recommendations, training schedules, and recommends speakers for the educational sessions at the annual state convention. Also, we help smaller credit unions who experience problems with their data processing systems with technical expertise.

Leadership Roles - PCCU's senior management staff currently serves, or has served, on boards and committees for credit union related organizations: Wisconsin Credit Union League Marketing Committee, Wisconsin Credit Union League Education & Training Committee; secretary of Wisconsin CTI User's Group and the South Central Chapter of Credit Unions.

People to People Program, National Values Campaign, Filene Research Council - PCCU provides monetary support to worthwhile credit union organizations and programs.

Continuing Education for Staff - PCCU recognizes the value of having fully skilled employees and encourages them to participate in the STAR and MERIT training programs, and under specific guidelines, also assists to pay for continuing education to further their careers in the credit union movement.
